Klosterlivet har en l\u00e5ng historia. De f\u00f6rsta klostren kom till i Egyptens \u00f6knar under 300-talet som en samling eremithydor, s\u00e5 sm\u00e5ningom skyddade av en h\u00f6g mur mot r\u00f6vare och banditer. S\u00e5 ser de ut \u00e4n idag \u00e4ven om hyddorna byggts om till huskomplex kring kyrkor. I Rum\u00e4nien av idag best\u00e5r ett st\u00f6rre kloster av ett muromg\u00e4rdat centrum med fr\u00e4mst administrationsbyggnader kring en kyrka och omgivet av klosterbyar, somliga mindre och mer avskilda f\u00f6r ett kontemplativt liv p\u00e5 avst\u00e5nd fr\u00e5n huvudklostret samt av ensliga eremit-boningar i total avskildhet.<\/font><\/span><\/p>

I den romersk-katolska kyrkans Europa kan man hitta stora klosterkomplex med ett liv som formats av motreformationens ideal med str\u00e4ng avskildhet och strikta regler, mer progressiva skapelser i moderna hus som tagit kvinnors annorlunda roll i samh\u00e4llet p\u00e5 allvar och socialt och aktivt arbetande kongregationer vars medlemmar har sitt arbete till st\u00f6rsta delen i eller utanf\u00f6r institutionen eller l\u00e4genheten, vidare s\u00e5dana nya skapelser som Jesu Sm\u00e5 Systrar som kan ha ett t\u00e4lt som kloster eller bo p\u00e5 vinden i ett raserat ren\u00e4ssanspalats i Marseilles slumkvarter.<\/font><\/span><\/p>Vi hittade denna nedlagda skola n\u00e4r vi s\u00f6kte ett st\u00f6rre hus p\u00e5 landet och fann att b\u00e5de l\u00e4ge och hus passade v\u00e5ra syften. En magasinsl\u00e4nga \u00e4r ombyggd till g\u00e4sthus, det finns en liten eremithydda f\u00f6r systrar i retreat och tv\u00e5 mer provisoriska bost\u00e4der f\u00f6r folk som vi inte har rum f\u00f6r p\u00e5 annat s\u00e4tt. Samt ett h\u00f6nshus, ett litet v\u00e4xthus och en vedbod! Samt en f\u00f6rsamlingskyrka p\u00e5 andra sidan kyrkog\u00e5rdsmuren med h\u00f6gm\u00e4ssa n\u00e4stan varje s\u00f6ndag.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
